In addition to the things in our Cafepress store (available for a limited time) and our 24 Palmer Street press site (for our Tom Swift Guide to Life and our special anniversary reprints of the first 5 books with historical essay and checklists), we also ordered merchandise for the convention and didn't sell it all.
Dave Redel, who came to the Tom Swift 100th Anniversary convention, did a marvelous piece on the Stratemeyer Syndicate. We were honored that he included the TS100 Convention and interviewed several of our attendees for the piece as well.
If you like Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, or any of the other series books which Edward Stratemeyer created with his amazing syndicate, this radio show is a great listen--only one hour long and worth every second.
The headline reads "Tales of Tom Swift inspire gathering of inventive souls." We made B-1 of the newspaper as the lead article for the "Our Region" section. We're very excited. The print version also had a sidebar with more info about the convention, and a link here, which were missing from the online version (for now at least--we hope they add it).
Monday there will be a followup article on Scott Paulson and sound effects. You can watch him in action on Friday or Saturday if you join us for one of the radio shows.
Make magazine, that haven for all things geeky and DIY, noticed the Smithsonian article and blogged about the centennial. We're subscribers to Make ourselves, so this was exciting for us!

Tom Swift's Airship is the feature of the latest article to cover the convention. The focus of this article is more on how our purchase of the remnants of the movie airship changed our lives and how it will be exhibited at the convention. If you live in San Diego, you can pick up a copy in the red kiosks around town for free, but you can also read it online.

If you haven't looked at the website TomSwift.info, you are missing out on a great site. It's recently been given a new home page and looks great. We don't do this page (although we are friends with those who run it) but we want to make sure you note the great info there. Enjoy!
