YouTube Video on Tom Swift Centennial

We have made a 5 minute video about the history of the 5 Tom Swift series and the upcoming Centennial Convention. Please give it 5 stars and tell your friends about it. We want to get the word out about this big anniversary!

Photo Gallery of Tom Swift and His Airship Radio Show June 14

The UCSD Arts Library is holding a Centennial exhibit of Tom Swift from June 1-July 31, 2010. As part of this exhibit, there will be two radio show programs held at the UCSD Geisel Library.

The first radio show performance was Tom Swift and His Airship and was held at noon on Monday, June 14, 2010 in front of an audience of about 45 people.

The fine actors of Write Out Loud (Kevin Koppman-Gue, Veronica Murphy, and John Ritter) along with the Arts Library's own Scott Paulson performed all the voices while Scott provided music and old-school sound effects.

Voyages Extraordinaires Blog on TS100

We've had another writeup about our convention plans, this time at: the Voyages Extraordinaires Blog. The blog describes itself as:

Nicholas Basbanes blogs about TS100 at Fine Books and Collections site

If you are not familiar with Nicholas Basbanes, you are not reading enough. He has a number of wonderful books about the "Gentle Madness" called Collecting.

He has written up a nice piece on our Convention at the Fine Books and Collections Magazine website.

He calls our event an "ambitious get-together of kindred spirits" which seems fairly accurate. We hope you will join us as another kindred spirit.

Stan Lee and Roger Ebert Tweeted about Tom Swift 100!

That's right. If you are on Twitter and happen to follow either movie critic Roger Ebert or comic book icon Stan Lee, you may recently have read about the Tom Swift 100th anniversary convention.

On June 8, Roger Ebert gave a tweet on the convention with a link to this site. This started a lot of responses and "retweets" from people who noted it.

Sneak Preview of upcoming book: Tom Swift Guide to Life

We're waiting on our proof copy of Tom Swift Guide to Life, but we hope to have copies to sell at the convention (and we'll post a link to buy the book when it is available) but until then, here's a sneak peek at the cover for the book, Tom Swift Guide to Life. It will be 47 pages of full color illustrations and lots of observations about the life lessons you can learn from the first two Tom Swift series.

Cafe Press Sample Photos #2

More of our products have arrived. I'm already wearing my Rocket Scientist shirt (photos of that will follow) but here are some of the things as they came out of the boxes. We get even more products on Thursday! I can't seem to stop buying my own stuff......

As you'll see, a few of the shirts have a thin white line on the edge of the design but Cafe Press sent a card explaining that is part of the printing process and goes away with the first wash. I'll report on my findings once I've washed some shirts.
