More Items in the Cafe Press Store for TS100

I'm loading new designs in to the store all the time. Remember, we have a license for only a limited time so you won't be able to get this stuff after 2010 is over.

I will also be changing the store all of the time so there is no guarantee that your favorite design will be there in three months so order it when you see it!

Register for the Convention (and the Hotel)

Registration is open (see Registration link above). Remember that rates go up in June.

Also, the hotel only promises to hold our block of rooms until June 16th. After that, it might be harder to get rooms. July can be pretty busy around here. We promised the hotel a certain number of bookings, in order to get the convention space cheap, so please remember to book at the Sheraton Mission Valley and tell them you are with the Tom Swift Convention. You can get more info on the Location tab above.

Please book for the hotel and register for the convention right away!

We have begun selling Tom Swift licensed merchandise at a CafePress Store. You will be able to buy T-Shirts, Tote Bags, Pins, Magnets, Greeting Cards, Posters, Mugs, and other items with art from the Tom Swift series over the last 100 years.

SciFi Magazine's April 2010 Issue Covers TS100 Convention

SciFi Magazine, available today in major bookstores, has a full-page column devoted to the Tom Swift Centennial, written by Jeff Berkwits. As Berkwits writes, "For scifi fans of a certain age, the name Tom Swift brings back fond memories of rollicking adventures, futuristic contraptions, and, believe it or not, droll adverbs."

The article goes on to discuss both the original and Junior series with photos of the covers of Tom Swift and his Airship and Tom Swift and the Visitor of Planet X, plus a brief discussion of the phenomenon of Tom Swifties.
