Stan Lee and Roger Ebert Tweeted about Tom Swift 100!
That's right. If you are on Twitter and happen to follow either movie critic Roger Ebert or comic book icon Stan Lee, you may recently have read about the Tom Swift 100th anniversary convention.
On June 8, Roger Ebert gave a tweet on the convention with a link to this site. This started a lot of responses and "retweets" from people who noted it.
On June 13th, Stan Lee spoke of his fondness for Tom Swift and his memories of it. This was in response from a tweet from our Twitter account a few days earlier asking him if he read Tom Swift when he was young. Apparently we were right; he did! And so did a lot of other people based on the responses he got from this post! (He switched his Twitter feed name from smilinstanlee to TheRealStanLee but either way, his Tom Swift post is there, under his new name, from June 13!).
It's great to see people who remember Tom Swift fondly even today. In the 100 years since the first series began there have been so many people touched by these books.
This is one of the reasons we are throwing this convention.
